Cairo International Airport (CAI)
Ground Transport and Car Parking

(Cairo, Egypt)

Cairo Airport (CAI) Travel and Transport: Photograph of the skylineSeveral transport options connect the airport to a variety of nearby destinations. A pay shuttle bus carries passengers to Heliopolis and Cairo as well as several other destinations including the pyramids. Bus number 400 leaves twice every hour during the day and once every hour after nightfall.

There is no direct rail access from the airport to the city of Cairo. Unmetered black and white taxis can be hired from in front of the Arrivals Hall and fares are best negotiated before boarding. Limousines are also available from the same area. Those wishing to forego public transport may opt to hire a car and follow the well-marked road links between Cairo Airport and the city centre.

Airport Parking Facilities

Both short-term and long-term parking are available at Cairo Airport. The parking facilities have been recently renovated and expanded to accommodate more than 7,000 vehicles across 10 parking lots. Short-term car parks charge rates in fractions of one hour-blocks and are located a short distance from the main terminals.

Disabled parking facilities are not available at Cairo International Airport.
